An editorial journey through the archives of LUXXELIVING revisiting extraordinary nights, timeless style, and the global stage where culture and creativity converge.

LUXXELIVING has been credentialed to cover the International Emmy ® Awards for four consecutive years - 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 capturing the artistry, global voices, and red carpet elegance that define this prestigious celebration of international television.
The weekend was a cinematic celebration of a global television scene that combined art, culture, and human connection, and only New York could embrace. Between small screen time and panel reviews at the International Emmy World Television Festival or the exclusive HBO party on Saturday night in the days before the gala, there were tons of good conversation, creativity, and the quiet anticipation of who would be the winners of the International Emmy Awards on Monday night.
Monday evening was when the city’s soul hit a peak. In the New York Hilton’s glittery ballroom, a thousand of the best television personalities arrived to celebrate the 47th Annual International Emmy® Awards and tell tales about those talented people from around the world. Crystals sparkled, cameras came and went, and accents from every continent rose in the sky — each voice a piece of one universal language: television.
Presented by comedian Ronny Chieng, the evening featured performances and productions from different corners of the globe. Both the Hungarian actress Marina Gera and the Turkish actor Haluk Bilginer offered deeply felt acceptance addresses as they claimed the top performance honors for Eternal Winter and Şahsiyet (Persona). The UK's thrilling crime drama McMafia was best serialized, showing that moral conflict and the complexity of the human condition can transcend time and space. There were parts of it that shone with emotion and legacy.
Supermodel Iman presented the International Emmy Directorate Award to journalist Christiane Amanpour, for a career defined by truth and global perspective. Conleth Hill of Game of Thrones fame then rose to salute its creators, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, and presented them with their Founders Award — a moment of poetic full-circle recognition for a series that changed television’s cultural landscape forever. But beyond the ceremony, the weekend at the International Emmys epitomized what LUXXELIVING celebrates most: artistry that knows no borders, grace that knows no language, and the unbreakable strength of stories that bring us together.
