On the evening of Thursday, July 18, 2024, we were invited to attend and cover an incredible experience, Dan's Chefs of the Hamptons located at Si Si Mediterranean Restaurant inside EHP Resort & Marina in East Hampton, New York.  As I arrived at Si Si Restaurant, I was greeted by a lovely lady wearing a summery orange ensemble.  She was charismatic and welcoming and directed guests inside the event. The vibrant DJ Theo officially began the evening by announcing the gastronomic Dan's Taste series of culinary events. Dan's Chefs of the Hamptons officially started with him spinning music for guests to enjoy. The beautiful evening was right on the water, boats were parked, and with the ocean aroma you know it’s officially summer with the third installment of Dan's Taste culinary events officially upon us. 

Dan's Chef of the Hamptons hosted by celebrity chef Anne Burrell had a platinum VIP section where guests were allowed to meet and greet the chef from 6 PM. GOLD VIP guests enjoyed the soiree from 6 PM, and Silver guests enjoyed the party from 7 PM. Both Gold VIP and Platinum VIP were SOLD OUT. 

Some of the food we tasted included baked goods from Buongiorno Bakery, a tuna wonton taco and a veggie crunch roll from Sunset Harbor, a selection of artisan bread from Newlight Breadworks, Orecchiette con Salsiccia from Isola Restaurant, an assortment of baked goods from Windmill Lane Baking & Co. which is about to open next weekend, a selection of Ots cookies, tasty caviar from Passmore and more.  I also had an exotic dish with mortadella that was gluten-free, which was perfect as there are a lot of people following a GF diet. 

The liquor brands included Dillon's Small Batch Distillers who provided canned drinks for guests, a delicious Ciroc summer cocktail with fresh Ciroc Limonata with fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, and orange bitters, wines from Torpez, Laurel Glen Vineyards, Paloma Vineyard, Roseade wine spritzer, tasty gin, some good old scotch, whiskey from Great Jones, Don Julio Tequila, and entertaining bartenders flipping bottles from Mannya Bar Services and more.

Cadillac, one of the sponsors had branded cutting boards for guests to take as a memento from the event. Another sponsor Scott Dunn Travel, a luxury travel company provides personalized luxury vacations that deliver one-of-a-kind experiences and last but not least people were able to take Dan's Papers with them to read all news from the Hamptons and to know upcoming events by Dan's and other companies.

Orange was the official color of this summer for the attendees. It seemed that we had all agreed to show it off with style and dignity.

Beautiful souls were wearing an array of outfits from Flamingos to orange silk sets that drag eyes on; after all, it’s HOT and the sunset is the witness. Si Si..

We all enjoy ourselves on the dance floor, belly dancers performing with a fusion of instruments, an electrifying performance from Sarina the Violin Diva to an exquisite performance with a set of drums. Everyone was on the dance floor dancing to the tunes of DJ Theo where the whole party was moving up and down, and left to right as a party should be. 

The commensals enjoyed the food, company and commented on the wonderful evening they get to experience yearly. Dan's Chef's of the Hamptons is and continues to be an iconic event on the east end of Long Island.
